This course will provide an introduction to SystmOne for staff in Adult Social Care at PCC and related services.

Part 1 is intended for all new SystmOne users.
The session is delivered as a guided series of practical exercises using a training database that mirrors the live system, and will provide an overview of SystmOne for social care, suitable for all users.

Forming Good Attachments Target Group
All carers within their probationary year induction period. All other carers who need an update on policy, practice and research.


By the end of the course, participants should be able to:


• Outline how attachments are formed


• Identify how disruptions experienced by children impact on them


• Explain how an inability to form attachments manifests itself


• Devise strategies to repair and re-establish attachments, use them, and transfer them as necessary

Code: PCC/20/629 Handling of People: Manual Handling - Train the Trainer - SCAT-PP

This 5day course is based on the inter-professional curriculum framework for Back Care Advisers giving the opportunity for the delegate to reach the standards of a Key Worker (manual handling)/ Lead Trainer as recommended by National Back Exchange. 

Who should attend?

Please note to be a lead trainer relevant professional qualifications and at least 5 years working in a healthcare, educational or social care setting are required. Staff without this can still attend the course but will work under the supervision of the lead trainer.

To give participants a basic awareness of how the new Liberty Protection Safeguards (the replacement for the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) will apply to their work settings.

NB: At the time of writing this outline the Code of Practice, and various regulations, are still to be finalised. We will of course incorporate these into the training as soon as they are available

Anyone working in a health or social care setting who requires just an awareness or overview of the Liberty Protection Safeguards
